Restaurant bewertenMy husband I dined here for a milestone anniversary, during an overnight stay at the Borgata. The restaurant was made aware of the special occasion at time of booking but did not acknowledge it, which was slightly disappointing. Aside from that, though, we had a great experience! The hostess welcomed us and we were seated almost immediately, though the place was packed (we had reservations . Our server, Bill, was attentive but not smothering, very friendly, and had a good sense of humor. The food was excellent full of flavor. We started with the Thick Cut Bacon and the Burrata, both of which were amazing. I cannot stop thinking about the latter... WOW, my favorite part of the meal! Beverages were good. We shared the mashed potatoes, asparagus, and Cast Iron NY Strip. Complimentary bread was warm and delicious. No dessert, though in hindsight I wish I 'd gotten the chocolate cake... I found it amusing there was no salt and pepper on the table, but quickly understood why; it 's absolutely not necessary. Tables and chairs have been visibly well loved, but word on the street is the place is closing in the fall. (Bummer, because I would drive all the way back down for more Burrata...! Overall a good time!
Super cool, mod/deco art, colorful interior restaurant right off Borgata casino (entrance inside). The bar and lounge area at the front were closed, per COVID, so some folks were waiting outside. We booked a reservation at 8:15. You can make it online or by calling them which I def would do bc they get packed pretty quickly. The cab and Syrah wines were so so good. Along with the crab cake, spicy southwest rib eye, brussel sprouts and creamed spinach. I especially liked the spice of the crabcake wasabi pure and the peppers with the steak. The side dishes are pretty small as a heads up but very tasty. Our waiter was cordial and attentive. Overall was a super fine dining experience besides from two curmudgeonly women sitting next to us giving us dirty looks. Omg also I got the chocolate cake to go which comes with ice cream and that was magnificent! Just a huge slice as an FYI and would've liked a little more ice cream with it!
We arrived for our anniversary dinner and was seated rather quickly. We were placed in a corner seat near the bar and requested to be relocated, we were pleased that the host obliged. For starters we had the lobster-crab cake and bacon. The crab cake was absolute delicious. We tried a crab cake from barbera seafood earlier that was absolutely NOT it so this was redemption for us. The lemon habanero tarter sauce had a nice bite to it, the green onion vinaigrette tasted more like basil to me but nonetheless a really good compliment. The bacon was candied and a bit tough but gave way the more chewed. It reminded me of pork belly so of course I loved it. The kale Romain Caesar salad was 10/10. A simple salad yes but the dressing was on point and the crispy croutons just made it exceptional. It also has some fresh anchovies! The baked potato was my least favorite item. I didn't realize how overwhelming the blue cheese was going to taste and would have preferred much much less. We didn't finish that at all. The bone in rib-eye was tasty but they over cooked it to almost well done. That was disappointing to say the least. The Louisiana filet mignon though? Would reorder again and again and again. The crawfish bearnaise sauce was unlike any we've had before and it was an absolute 10/10. Oh and we had the tequila flight and this gin drink, the one with cucumber. Recommend bofffff of them.
I was very happy that the restaurant was still open because most of the casino was closed, so that was a lifesaver. Starving we had the surf turf skewers cooked perfectly, shrimp cocktail, and the bacon. All three were impressively delicious! For our entrees we had the cast iron skillet steak the bone in rib eye, only complaint was the rib on the rib eye was very strong. The truffle mash the Brussel sprouts were fantastic. It was our anniversary and our server bill made it so special !
Before COVID shut down the world, I made a mad dash to Atlantic City to hang out and eat at one of my favorite restaurants, Bobby Flay. I've been coming here since 2007 so I was surprised that I haven't reviewed such a gem. The restaurant is beautiful which shouldn't be a surprise. Mr. Flay is one of the premier celebrity chefs and it's nestled inside the fabulous Borgata Resort! The service was impeccable. They sure know how to make their patrons feel special! The food is always a special treat. The lamb chops on this occasion were tough. We didn't send them back because they were still good but definitely not up to Bobby Flay's standards. My steak and Lobster Crab cake appetizer were both to die for! I can't wait for the world to open back up so I can make another mad dash to Atlantic City. I'm anxious to turn this 4 star review into the 5 stars this restaurant has the potential to attain. So bring on those lamb chops, I'm sure they'll be tender and mouthwatering!!!
