Just one more jewel in the crown of midwest summers!
Pretty upset with today visit. We ordered 2 milk shakes and a order of mini corn dogs and order of onion rings. We waiting 30mins and nothing I pushed the button to find out how much longer after waiting 30 mins they said oh she's bringing your shakes to you now. The lady come out with 2 melted milk shakes the. 2 mins later comes out with our cold onion rings and cold corn dogs.. I would like to know why I waited so long if the food and shakes had clearly been done for a while. There was maybe 4 cars in the parking lot and maybe 3 tables inside. Today's visit was unacceptable
Six of us recently dinned in for lunch for a colleagues birthday. The birthday girl chose the venue. I was extremely reluctant considering I do not do fast food/friend food … but I was able to get through the experience thinking about how well preserved the restaurant was to it’s original presence of when I was a kid and came here occasionally after church on a Sunday with my sister and parents. My mom and dad would tell us stories about how the establishment was a popular place to go in the 60s when they were dating in high school and how cheeseburgers only cost a quarter, yada, yada, yada. I do remember they both loved the pork tenderloin sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo and friend mushrooms menu items that still appear today.
I hadn't eaten here in years and so happy we did! The service was great and the food was amazing! And for the price you can beat it! It was 31 bucks for 3 meals and 3 ice creams. We definitely will be back soon!
