Ike's Food Cocktails Minnetonka

This was our first visit to Ike's for all of us. Our friends live in the area and had never heard of the lovely place. They were impressed, and hope to return, as we do. The food was excellent we all ordered different items. Monica, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience!

Experience and food is going downhill. Not worth it

Although the restaurant was louder than anticipated the noise level lessened so we could hear each other after a little while. The waiter allowed us to catch up before we ordered and came back when necessary. We both had the chop salad and it came with the dressing on the side without having to ask for it. The salad was delicious and very fresh.

Usually outstanding. But we both had filets which were hard to cut even with a steak knife. So, marked down.

Was excited to go there for brunch. They were really busy and seemed a bit understaffed. Unfortunately lots of places deal with this issue. We were fine waiting and were patient…we had nowhere to go so time wasn’t an issue. My issue was that my order was delivered wrong. That happens but then when it was redelivered my poached eggs were way overcooked. They were dry and not very good. There was also one little piece of avocado on my toast. I did mention to the server that my eggs were way overcooked and I declined her offer to have them remade because things were taking a long time and I didn’t want to wait for more food. I ate what I could and was done. Mistakes happen but I was a bit unimpressed with how it was handled. Not even a cup of coffee was bought or take an off the bill. I didn’t even eat half of my meal. Oh well. The complimentary bun was amazing and maybe it will be better the next visit.
