Smokin’ J’s Bbq - Minden

At 65 years old and having grown up in the South and Southwest, I can confidently say that this might just be the best brisket I've ever tasted. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, but it's definitely worth seeking out on purpose. As for parking, there's plenty available!

As for the sides, the regular potato salad is tasty, but the jalapeño popper potato salad is outstanding. The sweet BBQ beans are delicious, and the green beans are surprisingly good too. They also offer Cajun fries, even if they aren’t listed on the menu. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean, so I definitely recommend giving it a shot. It also has a lovely patio area that is dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along if you'd like. Kid-friendliness: Yes Parking: Ample Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

I didn’t dine here, but I really loved the atmosphere! The customer service is excellent, the music is fantastic, and it's a charming spot!
