Restaurant bewertenWe English speakers ask a lot when in a non-English speaking nation; especially in rural areas.Using a smartphone translation app, we were able to get ourselves understood.THE FOOD:Ordered a single serve steak which was cooked a fraction more than requested. But, it had lots of flavour. Sadly, the serving size of about 500 grams was beyond the 2 of us.The salad was a mixture of cold leaves, tomato, sliced onion, grated carrot covered with (YUK) cheese and no dressing. We are not used to this style and found it wanting. The suggested wine was delightful.Overall, good.
Mina Clavero has no shortage of very good restaurants. We ate at 3 of them and they were all very good, with different strengths. We arrived early to Mi Lugar and there were no other customers so the dining area was at it’s pristine best. Beautiful leather-like table cloths over spotlessly white table cloths and every glass was gleaming. We ordered a bife de chorizo and it was one of the best we have had - we were told that it was quite small - it wasn't; it was enormous. Staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely ambience but perhaps a little over-priced.
Food was ok, wine was hot, waitress was non existent. Too bad, has potential, but just can't pull it off. We will not be back
When you walk in on your right is a huge grill (parilla). This restaurant has great grilled dishes...from beef to fish to provolone cheese appetizers. The decor is festive. We loved the delicious eggplant dip they served as we arrived. My husband got the beef and I got the blue cheese fish...I thought the sauce lacked flavor (too much flour not enough cheese/butter/cream) but other than that we really enjoyed ourselves.
The food is excellent. We ate delicious pasta. She noticed the homemade sauce. all from the entrance to the impeccable dessert. very good price of ratio quality.
