Restaurant bewertenDanDan is a longtime favorite of mine, even now being vegan they offer a good number of clearly labeled options with larger portions. Don’t skip over the General Tso’s Cauliflower, soo crispy and sticky, and the cucumber salad is simple but really delicious. Other options include kimchi pancakes, mapo tofu, dumplings, and salt/pepper fried rice. For extra heat, ask for level 3 with “[censored] sauce”
Get the general tsos cauliflower! You’ll thank me later
The cuisine at this restaurant heavily emphasizes American flavors and tends to be on the salty side.
DanDan offers a modern interpretation of Szechuan style Chinese cuisine. I tried their MaPo Tofu (without pork) and found it to be delicious. The dish was very spicy as promised, with a flavorful sauce that used mushrooms instead of pork. There are plenty of vegan options on the menu, all clearly labeled. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was cool, and they had a good selection of drinks. I will definitely be returning.
I tried the General Tso's Cauliflower and absolutely enjoyed it! My partner ordered the Mapo Tofu and found it a bit underwhelming, but still thought it was tasty. The prices were on the higher side and there weren't too many vegan options available, but the cauliflower dish was definitely worth it for me. The portions were also very generous, which was a bonus.
