Moonshine Modern Supper Club

The food is always amazing, the buffalo wings are nice spicy, the truffle fries are always on point. Ordered the fungi flatbread to go and it was incredible,even at room temp.

There was no shine at MoonShine. Sadly on a Saturday night it was quite empty,. The music didn 't fit, not inviting to want to sit and linger. I can 't speak of the food, since we couldn 't bear ordering anything. i had selected 2 beers from the menu, both of which were unavailable. The one i had settled for was flat. AS for the Prosecco not quite as cold as it could have been and also a bit flat- No bubbles in the bubbly. Despite the sign to 'WATCH YOUR STEP we watched 2 people practically fall out the door as they fell down the step. It is dark and didn 't seem to have an identity of what it wants to be. Me and my fiance decided to go here for our date night as we were looking for a restaurant with a prix fixe menu. For the most part the reviews were pretty good so we went for it. The music was quite boring. Our server (Mike? was great, he gave me his honest opinion about the food I was considering ordering. We ordered mixed drinks, which really were not the best. The flavors did not tie together well not to mention I had the biggest sphere shaped ice cube I 've ever seen which instantly watered down my drink. We waited approx 20 mins for just the first course (a salad . Second course was the calamari and it was okay. Third course was the braised beef short ribs: the biggest disappointment of the night. Part moist and part dry. ZERO flavor. Lying on a bed of cheesy grits which also tasted watered down. The best meal I had that night was the dessert which was the warm cookie dough. Another thing that I want to point out is that the presentation of the food lacks a wow factor. They did not make the meals look appetizing at all. Won 't be returning unfortunately as the food was just too basic for me for such a wannabe upscale kind of place.
