Best kept secret of Amana...Mrs Doris makes some of the best baked goods ever! Cinnamon rolls are a must, but the streusels are amazing as well. Always looking forward to a visit on an early morning!

I moved to Amana in the summer of 2022 for 3 months, and kept hearing of this legendary Oma who ran the last original hearth oven in Amana.Trust me readers, it will be as equally challenging to contact and place your order with Mrs Doris, as it will be rewarding.She only bakes Wednesday, Friday, and saterday mornings, and you HAVE to call the day before to place your order. Try to go there as early as possible in the morning. Everything is so delicious, and it runs out pretty quick. Worth investing the time for a visit!

Hahn Bakery makes all their baked goods 100% FROM SCRATCH, not the inferior mass produced mixes other bakeries use now. I am shocked at how much better Hahn's baked goods are. When traveling to the Amana Colonies, we call in our order 48 hours in advance and leave Omaha an hour early just to make the 4 hour drive in time before Hahn closes. The lady who owns the Bakery is the lady waiting on you at the counter. She is very nice and personable and you just feel good in her presence. Make yourself happy- go to Hahn's. You won't regret it.
