Restaurant bewertenDreadful keep away. Undercooked , unfriendly. Rude. Poor drinks selection mostly out of cans overpriced.
My wife and I recently revisited The Limeburners after many years, around 10 to be exact. We were pleasantly surprised by the transformation of the restaurant, which had been completely refurbished and was now very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made us feel at home. The highlight of this charming country pub is their specialty in traditional English fish and chips. We ordered medium skate, cod, and chips, which arrived promptly and piping hot to our table. Both the cod and skate were fresh and delicious, making for a thoroughly enjoyable meal. We washed it all down with a glass of ale and, for my wife, a glass of Aspalls Cider. We will definitely be returning to The Limeburners again soon, and it definitely won't be another 10 years before our next visit!
This charming pub is perfect for families, with a garden where children can play on the slide and swing. We enjoyed some delicious fish and chips - the kids had cod with generous portion sizes, while we had haddock and rock eel, all of which were absolutely delicious. The batter was excellent and the chips were nice and crispy. We hope they continue to maintain the high quality of their food and service.
If you are looking for a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, I would not recommend visiting this pub. The staff have negative attitudes and the close-knit community does not appreciate outsiders. I have been to this pub multiple times and can say that the staff made me feel unwelcome. This is not a recommended spot for those looking for a friendly family country pub experience.
If your face doesn’t fit your not welcome, very cliquey place, wouldn’t recommend! Basically you need to be a local to be welcome, they make you feel like you shouldn’t be there, staff are rude and arrogant
