The hummus is delicious, but I was disappointed to learn that they use butter on the pita bread that comes with it. I gave it 3 stars because most people do not expect dairy to be included in a hummus dish.

After a day of hiking in Payne's Prairie, I was in search of a nearby dining option. This restaurant is the only choice for miles around, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover they offered vegan cheese, vegan sauce, and tempeh. I was impressed by how delicious the food was and how charming the atmosphere of the restaurant was! This is a fantastic recommendation for anyone visiting Payne's Prairie State Park or southern Gainesville. I was taken aback by the variety of options available in this small town in Florida, but this restaurant truly hit the spot.

Although there are no fully vegan options on the menu, the staff is very accommodating and willing to customize dishes to suit your preferences. I usually order the Tuscan Bean Piadine without the feta or parmesan, and they always understand my request. One time I ordered a special menu item and requested for the cheese to be omitted because I am vegan. I was pleasantly surprised when they called me back shortly after to inform me that another ingredient contained butter and honey. I appreciated the extra effort they took to clarify my order. I would give them five stars for their exceptional service, even though their vegan food options are limited.
