Restaurant bewertenHot day on the beach chasing rooster fish, Efren's lunch was a wonderful break. A couple of micheladas and a plate of shrimp tacos was a perfect lunch. Beautiful view, owner always there, great service and welcoming attitude.
We visited Efren's for lunch. There were 3 of us. We each ordered different dishes. We all found them to be very over salted. Most places in Mexico do fries very well but here my brother's were very greasy. I had chicken tacos and they were very salty and my husband had a pasta which was also very salty. Actually this is the worst salt problem that I have ever encountered in a restaurant anywhere and in talking with a friend who went there at another time she made the exact same comment and so it is not just our taste. The prices were higher than other restaurants in town. Their beautiful view was obscured by a type of lined glass and had we been able to see it it may have made things slightly more palatable. Not a great experience.
We went to this restaurant with a group of about 40 people on a quad ride. Someone phoned ahead and for $15 USD per person they provided us with a buffet of salad, chips and salsa, tortilla soup, fresh tortillas and fillings of chicken, shrimp and fish to make up our own tacos. It was really tasty and was ready on time when everyone arrived. Good food.Downside: it was very windy (it always is there in January) and the flies were voracious. It would do them well to put some kind of fly traps around the building. All in all, we would eat there again. Well done.
The food, beverage and service is always great when I visit Efren's. The food is high quality and typically locally caught sea food. Efren and his staff are also very professional and personable.
