Hummus More - Metairie

I could not love this spot more! The Labneh is wonderful, and Chicken Shwarma hits every time. They are friendly, and the food has never disappointed!

My boyfriend and I were looking for Mediterranean food and decided to try this place. Upon entering, we were pleased with the nice and clean atmosphere. However, I wish they played authentic music to enhance the overall experience. The service was excellent. Our server was very caring and attentive, regularly checking up on us to ensure we had everything we needed. The major downside was the food. The grape leaves were served steaming hot; it would have been nice if they were chilled for a more authentic experience, though the flavor was good. I ordered the gyro plate, and my boyfriend had the chicken shawarma plate. The chicken was soft, delicious, and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, the gyro was extremely dry and tasted microwaved. On the positive side, the rice and hummus tasted fresh, but the hummus was overly bitter and nutty for my liking. Additionally, we both usually have no issues with digestion, but this food took overnight to digest, which makes me think it's not that fresh. Overall, it was an okay experience. Perhaps it was just an off night for them.

I enjoy eating at Hummus More and keep returning not only for the food but also for the friendly attentive service. They recognize their regulars and remember their preferences, but more importantly, they warmly greet everyone who comes in, even if it is for the first time. I am in an electric wheelchair and I have no difficulty entering, going to my table, or using the restroom. The space is not large but the tables are generouly spaced.

First time definitely going back have to try more!!!!

Hummus More was staffed with super friendly people but served super bland, Americanized mediterranean food. I would come here for a quick bite in a pinch, but nothing more. The pita bread was not homemade, and it was stale. The hummus was definitely store-bought, and just nothing about the food stood out in a positive way.
