Boa Viagem - Mertola

More than 1h waiting to be served! That can sometimes happen, especially in Portugal. But while we waited we saw at least 4 other tables who arrived after us be served before us, some with the same courses we had ordered. Basically any locals would be served before the tourists. Shameful. The fact that we had a 2yr old daughter (starving) didn't seem to mind. When the food finally came, it was nothing special and the rather small portions.

Late visit, 10pm I was last person to eat there but I still had a lovely meal and service was good despite the staff probably wanting to go home after long day. My only criticism was that tiny flies/bugs were landing on my table, not sure why as I don’t recall this happening before. Good variety on the menu, left feeling satisfied, prices good too.

Good variety of dishes (meat and fish), and they stay open until late, which can be a problem in some other places. Friendly service.
