Nicola sushi restaurant - Merritt

Nicola Sushi is pretty average but is in a handy location near the highway in Merritt. I ordered rice with my sashimi and got hot plain rice rather than sushi rice and that was disappointing. The restaurant interior is bland and windows are minimal. The waitress on a Sunday night at 8:30 pm was not terribly welcoming and acted a bit like we were an inconvenience in her night. All in all, if you're craving sushi and passing through Merritt it's worth a stop.

Prices are great. Food tasted good. Wasn't sure what to expect as it always seems so quiet inside and how fresh food would be as a result....but it seemed good! we will definitely be trying again soon and be adding it to our takeout choices.

Attempted to have sushi at 8:34pm and was told no sorry take out only. Close earlier if you don't want to serve people until your advertised hours of 9:00 pm

4 people sitting in restaurant at 6pm on a Friday. Told it would be 40 minutes to even get a drink as the chef was preparing a large order. Seriously? We left

This restaurant food was so tasty. When I traveled to Japan I tried to have some sushi but the taste was same as I experienced. I'm pretty sure the restaurant cook is Japanese.
