My wife and I had lunch here while we were staying at the Diplomatic Hotel down the road. Outside seating was OK, and so were food and coffee, and prices. Nothing spectacular, but OK.
Spent 2 nights in Mendoza recently. Read about this restaurant and thought I could get a good dinner here. I am vegetarian and it sounded like the place for me. We walked over from the Hyatt and checked out the restaurant and made a dinner reservation for the following night. The next day we booked a full day wine tour that included a very nice late lunch. We were not very hungry by the time I had scheduled dinner. We decided to select a couple of light dishes just to try the restaurant. I had a pasta entree and my fried had a salad. Neither were at all appetizing. For what we ate the bill was on the pricey side.It is basically a store front room with an open kitchen. The decor and ambience didn't add to the experience. The service was just OK. Based on what we ordered cannot recommend this restaurant.
If you've been in Argentina for a while you may be wanting something different from red meat ... if so then this is an excellent restaurant for you. Incredible freshly made pasta dishes , seafood options & a fabulous wine list! Our service was excellent & attentive & bi-lingual for our embarrassing lack of Spanish.Highly recommend the prawn entree & the pasta with lamb ragu!
After a long day of wine tasking and eating a lot of meat, my wife and I needed something different and this restaurant was perfect. The service was outstanding and the food was great. Even though we were in Mendoza in the low season (mid-June) we could not get in the first night and had to make a reservation for the second night. That is a great sign because every other restaurant in Mendoza was pretty empty. Highly recommended!
After the terrible food in south America my friend and I were happy to come upon a finer dining experience with offerings besides the usual friend and bland menus found in Chile. They had lots of vegetarian options and good protein selection. We had an amazing wine! However I will add that my friend and I are if Indian descent (we are from the U.S.) and did not receive the same attention or service that the white patrons received. Our orders were taken last, our waiter did not give us attention and we were asked by other tables many prodding questions that were inappropriate. We did not expect such treatment in such a fine restaurant. Beyond this however the food was quite good and decently priced.
