Smith & Daughters - Melbourne

Here twice in 2 days, which shows how good it was. had net and salat for lunch plus roll. everything delicious and fresh, loved it all. good value

My wife and I are both vegetarian and she is a zöliakie to boot, which as a combination of nutritional requirements makes life tricky when they want to eat in a top restaurant. the problem was solved. we traveled from the eastern suburbs. as we were tanned by the concept of the restaurant and delivered it with a dig. the front of the house staff consists of a refreshing eclectic mix of all life cycles that live and paint in an amazing industrial chic building. the service was directly alert from the side without being in the face or pushing. we eat only once a day (yes, our eating habits are out of control, but we love it) quite all small stockplates and some of the main ordered. the food came out immediately and was amazingly hot where it needed to be packed with aromen. they have made a good work at providing gluten-free options that deliver the same stamp as all others can enjoy. this is the consistent thema during the meal and no one is missing or a weaker younger brother is given for her limitations. the Turkish flatbreads were a big hit and we went round for another. arancini was tasty and hot and hit the brand on a cool melbourne evening. it is a definitiw menu that invites them to share with friends and experience a bit of everything I would encourage everyone to get the full experience. the net also delivered a somewhat surprising showtopper with the hollow shell. the mushroom dish was delicious and everything was well seasoned with many tastes. we had to finish the tiramisu and affogato. the tiramisu was simply sensational and a wonderful opportunity to complete. the pistachio ice cream with the affogato was delightful. I am not a big fan of Turkish coffee and my personal preference would have been just an espresso, but I would not count it as a negative, simply personal choice. we have searched for a restaurant that can fill the empty for vegetarian diet (yes, we exist) as attica has made in the last times nasenlochen and smith and daughter is it. everything was in harmonie and the back and the front of the house staff should be proud of a really extraordinary offer with a lot of pzazz.

Drive all the way to fitzroy from knox and what a trip was worth it! the employees worked like a demanding team and very friendly and patient while I asked about certain selections. the blue cheese and artisan cheese were amazing. the thunfish salad needs. no other than aromatic. brisket, truthahn and korean bbq rips hands down worth every dollar spent. the best article I bought was the marinated fish fillet. that was the next one on a fish fillet I've ever tried. can not wait until the restaurant starts and their dunes in smith and daughter. highly recommended.

What a great dinner! we went with some friends to a sat night for the banquet menu with coordinated weeps. After I had never been, I was worried that the service could be a bit indifferent, but that was definitiw not the case that it was warm, friendly and...helpful the selection of dips in the banquet was interesting and there was no court I did not enjoy. the drinks were a good fun and included a series of cocktails and crying. the banquet was at $80 pp and tuned drinks $40 pp. we are recently vegetarian, so it was a great change in the position to go somewhere and not to worry about a limited selection of things. just something to possibly improve would be to soften the lighting in sharing the restaurants and to load the heating, it was a bit scared. it had good acoustics when we were there, bonus! so glad to have given it an attempt and I would definitely return!

Back again after such lovely memories of dining here a couple of years ago and so delighted we did. Fantastic 12 course degustation with every morsel tastier than the last culminating in the highlight dessert of Turkish coffee and cardamom mousse. Simply fabulous friendly and...efficient service and their recommended Two Birds pale ale complemented our food extremely well. Will keep coming back here and have recommended it to all our friends, family and colleagues.
