Restaurant bewertenWe are big frats fans and used to live around the corner and go there weekly. Got takeaway the other night and it was almost inedible. Pizza was honestly like a out of Really really disappointing. The pizza was hardly cooked.
The venue is in one word, cozy. Tables are located quite close together, and the hustle and bustle contributes to its ambience. Waiters are run off their feet with how busy this place is, and we had to wait a little while for beverages to...be served. This is excusable when the pizza made fresh in the open oven arrives. I shared a Volcaneno (bocconcini, salami, gorgonzola, fetta, olives, anchovies, chilli, oregano) and a di Mare (mozzarella, fresh seafood and shellfish, garlic, parsley, tomato) with my aunt. Flavours are delicious, and it took me back to one of the best pizzas I had in Naples. Pizzas come in S/M/L sizes at a good price point. Great little gem.
Atmosphere was loud and we waited almost an hour for pizza but the quality, BYO prices make it worth it! I'd definitely return.
Arrived with a booking to be told table was down the back amongst the rubbish and the service area and one of the most unattractive tables in a lowly pizza place we have ever been ushered to. The owner was dismissive and cursorily said they...were busy so take it or leave it. So leave it we did, and from what we saw it was a good choice because we ended up somewhere far more friendly and charming with better food to boot from past experiences.
After reading reviews of the South Yarra Fratellino my expectations were very high. I was hoping to find an authentic Italian pizza but was disappointed. Service was slower than you expect, tables were wobbly for a new joint. Lack of attention to details.
