Restaurant bewertenWe went with a group of 10 people. They had plenty choice; lamb, beef, chicken and vegetarian. Just no or not that much fish. We ordered around 6 dishes to share, and it was exactly enough. Some dishes were served with naan bread. I would recommend it, the food is nice. Prices between 16 and 25 AUD per plate. Conveniently located across Melbourne Central. The restaurant itself was basic but ok. I really liked the Afghan pictures on the walls.
We went there in a group of about 12 people. Food was pretty average. Not impressed with the quality of the food or the service.
Myself and two friends decided to have dinner here. We were here last year and enjoyed the meals. This time we had the Kabaul Pallow (Afghan Rice) with Lamb Korma (included salad and Afghan bread), Mantoo (Mince dumplings) and two Lassis (salty yoghurt drink) and an Afghan Tea. We were full after that and couldn't even think of dessert. Although the Bakalava sounded nice. The total bill for the three of us was $51.00. Service from our waitress was prompt and efficient. Atmosphere was good with pictures and paintings of Afghanistan and its people. One of the previous reviews stated that female toilets were less than expected, However can only say that the male toilets were clean, well lit and quite presentable.
The service is quite good and the manager has always been very pleasant. The food, whilst nice, does taste a little watered down. Apart from that everything was great.
I came with my family. We had chicken karahi and afghani rice, i thought the chicken karahi was amazing! And the waitress was really helpful when asked to give suggestions!
