Friendly service, great room and ambience. My veggie burger was excellent. I'd like to see more interesting beers on tap, only a couple local brews and there are so many great local beers. Party of four, dinning for dinner. Some of us are new to the Hat some long time residents. The decor at the Mezz is beautiful. The menu selection is great. It was mid week not super busy, music abit loud. Our food ranged from good to great. The Caesar salad had more than a few pieces of wilted brown lettuce. The chicken was tasty but dry and chewy. All other plates were completely eaten with no complaints. The squash pasta looked amazing! Our server was adequate to great brought water, wine food etc. Asked if food was good.Did not offer more hot water for tea. That would have been appreciated . While on the topic, the teapots are the worst! Half the water pours on the table , just sayin! But the only smile she cracked was when handed the $25 dollar tip . It was a smidge over 20% so not sure if she was pleased or insulted. Those are the observations good and bad. Will I go again , yes.

We had great service and delicious food! Beer was a bit pricey. Events upstairs are always done well.

Had the bratwurst on a bun with a side of fries. Bun was oversized and stale(? , and the overall taste was mediocre at best. For $12 it was very disappointing, but at least the fries were good. Service: Dine in Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
