Restaurant bewertenWe finally got to visit Cremalat at Hyde Square Shopping Centre. After my divine cappuccino, we ordered a selection of meats and cheeses. The locally produced and the imported cheeses and meats were fabulous. Well plated selection and generous portions. We loved the Prosciutto Crudo, sublime Mortadella and local Italian style Salami. Their 2 locally produced cheeses fresh Assiago and Emmental and the imported Il Bastardo was a perfect selection enhanced by their own Pineapple Chilli chutney. Add their own Olive ciabatta and imported giant olives and you’re in foodie heaven. We took home their 2 pies, and a selection of pastries. The party of flavours just continued. Highly recommend the platters, pies and pastries. And shopping in the deli. The deli is a treasure trove of imported products in their own brand, specially produced for Cremalat in Italy. Excellent attentive service and a warm welcome from manager Phillip and his lovely staff.
It's an authentic Italian restaurant in Joburg. There is a restaurant next to the shop. It serves dishes which use cheese and ham of the shop. I ordered Cocco pasta, which was soooo nice. Cost is not expensive, and atmosphere of restaurant is also nice.
Had breakfast, food was good, little shop attached to the restaurant had very nice Italian cheese , meat and biscuits.
Ciao! I am so delighted we finally drove through to come and eat here. We are situated somewhere between this branch and the Hyde Park branch, but decided to try this one first. It was Saturday at lunchtime, so they were very busy, but they managed to seat us at a table inside. Pro tip: book in advance and ask for a garden table, it’s beautiful out there! As we arrived three people came to us individually to see if we needed help and to seat us. The lady who found us a table actually ended up being quite slow and we waited for a while each time we needed something, but the food definitely made up for the service. After visiting Italy earlier this year, it was wonderful to see so many familiar items on the menu. We ended up trying two pretty standard things: Bolognaise Ragu and the Parma Ham sandwich. Both were exceptional. The portion sizes are decent and we left feeling super satisfied. On the way out we stopped at the deli and the lovely man working there gave me a run down of everything in the shop. He convinced me to buy a brownie (it didn’t take much), and it was one of the best I’ve tasted, and it was HUGE. He also recommended that next time I try the liver pasta at the restaurant, which I’m extremely excited to go back for. Overall the place was fabulous and we left with big smiles on our faces!
What an amazing place. It's situated in a business park which is kinda unexpected but the experience didn't disappoint. Must check out if you're a pasta lover. The owner is hands on and very helpful.. definitely 5 stars..will absolutely be going again. The cannolis were super fresh and delicious.
