Dairy Queen - McKenzie

I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the terrible service, or rather the lack of it. When I tried to place my order, a rather rude staff member yelled at me through the intercom, informing me that they had closed and were no longer serving food. We were prepared to spend around $75, but after this experience, I won't be wasting my money here again. The employees need to take their responsibilities seriously and focus on doing their jobs rather than waiting around. It's part of their job to provide service, and they need to do better.

The staff should be polite, but my experience was quite the opposite. They were rude while I was driving through. They asked, "What can I get you?" and then immediately followed up with "What else?" as if they were rushing me. I didn't even receive a "thank you" at the window.

I am giving this Dairy Queen location just one star because I can't give it zero. It is definitely the worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to. I wanted to order a $5 chicken strip lunch basket at 1:30 in the afternoon, but apparently, they don’t serve that, even though it’s advertised on their website. So I settled for the chicken strip dinner basket instead. When I asked the cashier what came with the meal, she didn’t know and had to go ask another employee for details. The meal consisted of three chicken strips, a handful of fries, two toasted slider buns, a small cup of coleslaw, and gravy, all for $7.59—with no drink included. I added a small drink, which cost $1.59. Honestly, these prices are outrageous given the quality and quantity of the food. Other Dairy Queens offer a $5 basket that includes three chicken strips, fries, gravy, a medium drink, and a sundae. Here, they expect you to pay $7.59 for the same meal, plus $1.59 for a small drink, and additional charges for ice cream if you want it. The prices are not only unfair, but the staff was also inattentive and seemed uninformed about their own menu. After I had finished part of my meal, I went to the counter to request a to-go box or bag. One of the cashiers was helping another customer and completely ignored me afterward. Several other employees passed by without offering assistance. Eventually, a worker who was sweeping asked what I needed, and I requested a to-go box, and she finally helped me. I am thoroughly appalled by how this restaurant operates. Other Dairy Queen locations are much better.
