Restaurant bewertenWe paid $40 for this garbage. We threw it out. It will be our first and last time at this restaurant. Wan-Fu, Ming-Fu, New Asian, and Best Wok are all much better options.
After doing some Christmas shopping, I decided to call in an order for their delicious shrimp fried rice. I highly recommend this restaurant - the food is absolutely delicious!
I called at 5 to avoid the evening rush, but after waiting for 30 minutes at 6, I was told they couldn't give me an estimate on when my order would be ready. I asked for a refund because one of our three dishes had been sitting out for 15 minutes. Apparently, they only had one cook working that day, not the two I saw in the kitchen. It would have been understandable if they had informed me when I called an hour ago. I didn't request any special treatment, but they also didn't offer any solutions. They didn't even provide complimentary fortune cookies. The food was decent, with the crab rangoon deserving praise. Additionally, they charge an extra 4% if you don't pay with cash, which was not mentioned to us beforehand. Paying $50 for a hibachi meal to go was not worth it. I will not be dining here again.
For the eighteen and a half years I have eaten in this restaurant and the bark meat with broccoli, not spicy, with extra white rice every time order, they trust me when I write that this is the place to eat. I've never found another place like Chen-Fu where it's just phenomenal. there is no other Chinese-American restaurant like this. I could take some of my friends who are not huge Asian food fans to a fan of this on Asian food. eating here is like no other. the sauce in which the brokkoli and the bark are cooked is amazing, not sweet, more of a hearty taste. the mixture of broccoli, bark meat and sauce are overwhelming taste buds. the rice is boiled and steamed to perfection, I am picky over my rice and this is the only restaurant in which I am in love with the rice. a nice little mom and pop restaurant. every time my family and I visit, we are filled with familiarity and warmth. chenda and/or sonya will welcome us at the desk and write down our order without having to say that. then tony will win us out of the kitchen. while we wait for the food, sonya will chat with us and all others in the restaurant. catch them with customers. then she will deliver our steaming teller of deliciousness and immediately I am in heaven. I regret that someone will come to Chen-Fu and experience them just wonderful eating. Even now, if I'm over a hundred miles away, I still go for my Chen Fu at least once a month.
Interesting setup inside. A couple things didn't really sit right with me but it wasn't anything serious to the point to put it out there to the public. The food however was very good.
