L'antica Credenza - MATERA

A great casual place for lunch or a snack. The cheese and meat platters are very generous and showcasing the region of Matera and beyond. Soft and hard cheeses, homemade jam and different variety of meats. I didn’t see many tables without a platter and one that wasn’t finished. Service was prompt and kind. Thank you

After a fascinating tour around Matera we asked if there was a good place to eat traditional food in Matera. Our guide Angela took us to L'Antica Credenza where we were very well looked after by the owner and advised on what would be best to eat. We shared the bread salad and a delcious potato soup. The local wine also went down very well! We finished with one of the cakes.... perfect! Thank you.

Our hotel recommended this for lunch the day we arrived. We just wanted something simple. The tables were outside looking at the square. Our order includes a spritz, a local Italian beer, a salami sandwich and a salad. We loved the taste of everything! If we return to Matera, would go back here.

Pranzo eccellente, fresco e veloce. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile. Ci siamo trovati benissimo. Lo consiglio vivamente.

A great time here! beautiful sandwich and a glass of wine. the personal was friendly. no picture, but the meatballs were excellent. so was the cappuccino. many young smokers. street musicians were an additional bonus.
