Picoteo Cafe - Matagalpa

It is now in a new location. it is 10 times better than the previous place they have. now they have two different environments. a flur and a terrace. it is the place for local and foreign a beer and nice eating for a really good price to share.

I visited the cafe with two friends after reading a review in the Lonely Planet guide. We were disappointed as the cafe was more like a low end bar with tables with huge amounts of beer bottles on them and lots of cigarette smoke. The coffee was weak although the flavour was good. I ordered milk but the waiter explained that he only had cream. The cream turned out to be Kraft creamer that owes more to the lab than the cow's udder! I dont know why they couldn't pop into the shop next door and spend a few pennies on a pint of milk.

Recently visited picoteo for the last time ever. The waiter decided to charge us for 5 litres of beer when we only had 4. No recourse available to me. The supervisor couldn 't be bothered to address the matter in any way. I used to visit there fairly regularly, tipping well every single time. For the sake of a lousy 2 bucks, they 've lost a customer for life.
