Restaurant bewertenOn the 26th May The Sunshine Coast Gourmet Club made a much anticipated return visit to The Hidden Bean Fusion on Ocean with 26 of our gourmet girls. This is the time of year when many of our members begin their overseas jaunts and so it was good to have a slightly more intimate group. We were greeted with a welcome drink of Brown Brothers Chardonnay pinot noir. I do so love those bubbles!! Our mouth-watering entrée consisted of Seared Scallops with coriander, ginger, chili lime dressing accompanied by Tahbilk The Tower MVR 2014. One member commented that the tender scallops had delicious flavours and that the ginger and coriander were flavoursome with a lovely piquant after taste. Another described an explosion of tangy ginger and lime on perfect scallops. Delicious! Having been seduced by the entrée we proceeded to the main course which consisted of Coconut garlic prawns, snow peas, mushrooms, capsicum and rice complemented by an Oakridge over the shoulder pinot noir 2014. One member felt that this was the most delicious main this year. Generous serving of prawns, the sauce was totally tasty, tempting, tangy and terrific! Another commented that l flavours were wonderful and asked what did they do to the mushrooms? Delicious!! Great rice and seafood flavours. This restaurant is not renowned for dessert and in fact it not part of their normal menu. The sticky date pudding, butterscotch sauce and ice cream came as a nice surprise to an amazing meal and was enjoyed by most members. The service was great and again it was nice to have an area to ourselves as we are ever noisy. Much thanks to our host Roger Denny. We would thoroughly recommend that if you are looking for a good fusion restaurant that you try this one.
This is the first we have been here. We quit impressed the level of the service. Good foods, good service and nice surrounding reasonably price for chill and relax.
Always love going for dinner at Fusion on Ocean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The meals are large and always very well presented and delicious. You won't be disappointed if you dine here.
WE went to Fusions as part of a group for my Daughters Birthday...everyone stated how good their the food was.... mine was absolutely delish ....and I will be going back for a more intimate Dinner with my wife.......you can't not enjoy
This restaurant is tucked away just off Ocean Street. With so many places to choose from in the vicinity, it is worth checking out the offerings Hidden in laneways. Fusion really is what it claims, a delightful taste of Asian style foods, which have subtle flavours, tender meats and crisp vegetables. Friendly staff will help you choose dishes to suit your tastes. If you don't want hot chilli, just ask! A delicious meal in the outdoor area, which although under cover, can become very warm and uncomfortable as there are no overhead fans.
