Restaurant bewertenWe love the food and service at this restaurant. My daughter and I try to visit every week, and now my granddaughter loves it just as much as we do! The sirloin tips are our favorite.
Growing up in Eastern North Carolina, I would frequently travel to the mountains with my parents to visit family friends in Bakersville. Since the early 1960s, we always made a point to stop at this restaurant for breakfast. The traditional mountain breakfast of country ham, red-eye gravy, grits, eggs, and biscuits was always delicious and something we looked forward to. In 1979, as a newlywed, I introduced my husband to this breakfast spot and later on, our children as well. Just seeing the sign with autumn leaves brings back fond memories of my parents. The little individual jukeboxes at each table added to the charm. I hope they have not changed the restaurant since then and I am looking forward to returning soon.
Great food at very reasonable prices. Takes one back in time with the drive up speaker system and the pick up the phone system in the dining room to place your order.
Great food and service. my daughter and I try to make it there once a week and now my enkelin loves this place as much as her mother and I! love the Sirloin tips!
After I grew up in eastern nc, I would travel twice a year with my parents to the mountains to visit family friends in bakersville. from the early 60s we have always been happy to stop here for breakfast! it was a traditional mountain breakfast of land sinks, red-eye meal, grumbs, ice creams and bisquits- always delicious and always a leak we were happy. when I was born in 1979, I thought I was going to spend breakfast here, our children. only this sign with the autumn leaves brings so wonderful memories back to my parents! I love the small individual jukeboxes on each table! I hope they never changed this restaurant. I want to go back soon!
