Restaurant bewertenMore of a local bar than food service. Still enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.
Location has a lot of potential in downtown Marion. It was one of a few places open for Memorial Day &needed something simple for lunch. We ordered the smash burger &mahi sandwich which for an otherwise slow afternoon at the restaurant the whole ordeal took over an hour. When the food arrived, it was underwhelming for the amount you pay. It looked like something you might get from Cookout or a fast food spot (without the speed). Service was otherwise pleasant but very slow despite only a few tables of patrons.
Very neat restaurant in downtown Marion. Stopped for a drink and snacks. The service was good. We ordered Bloody Mary's that seemed watered down. Didn't taste any vodka. Was very thin unlike a tomato juice Bloody Mary. Maybe it's how they do it in the Florida keys. Crab dip was good but under seasoned. Tasted like crab and cheese. Fried clams were good. Definitely get more calm than cocktail sauce. House salad was the best part of the meal. Good mix of spring greens, home made blue cheese dressing, and fixings. The prices and ambiance spoke casual dining. However I just can't get over the plastic cups. They do have the good napkins. Probably would not go back again. Just didn't have what I was looking for for a seafood joint.
This was the only place we could find that was open and serving dessert when my husband and I were craving it. The key lime pie was sweeter than I prefer but still good, the cheesecake the same. However, I loved that the owner came by to welcome us and strike up a conversation...always worth an extra star in my book! I want to return to try the food, as the place just had a good small town charm that was welcoming.
Food was not good and very expensive. Just under $50. Not a family place, for sure.
