J Nichols Kitchen - Marina del Rey

I was told about this place by family living in the area, so it was my first stop after arriving in L.A. It did not disappoint! Shaida was our server and she was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed coffee while waiting for our food orders. I also indulged in a White Peach Bellini, because why not? The Huevos Rancheros were delicious. An incredible salsa mixed with beans, eggs, tortillas. Yum! The turkey club looked excellent. The Greek Yogurt Cheesecake was incredible!! The exterior of this place is very unassuming and located in a shopping/strip mall area with spacious free parking, but when you walk in the vibe changes to classy and sophisticated. Beautiful decor and hanging plants.

I absolutely love J Nichols!!!! The atmosphere is always cozy and welcoming. The restaurant is consistently clean and well-maintained. The calamari here is top-notch, ranking among the best in all of Los Angeles. Their Brussels sprouts are like a sweet treat and are a must-try. Even though I don't eat red meat, I've heard that their hamburger is the best in Los Angeles. My favorite dish is the tacos, even though they're listed as an appetizer. The caramelized onions on them are just divine. This restaurant is perfect for families and has an upscale casual vibe, so you can feel comfortable in jeans. It's also a great spot for a business lunch.
