D-spot - Maplewood

The restaurant is usually good, but a bit inconsistent. Tonight, we ordered three dishes and found that the tarantula was too salty, the buffalo was dry, and the alfredo pasta was undercooked and bland. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

I have been to dspot many times and usually the wings are grilled or deep fried and they are absolutely delicious! However, my last experience was not great. The wings were boiled and when I went to pick them up, they were 30 minutes late and looked naked without any sauce. The sauce couldn't stick to the wings and everything fell off. It was the worst experience I've had there. Some people had warned me about this problem before, but I never experienced it until now. I hope they can be more consistent in the future.

No matter what your taste preferences are, chances are you will find something you love at D-Spot! We tried a variety of dishes and everyone found something they enjoyed and are excited to try more. I have lived and traveled in many places and have tried wings at numerous restaurants, so I wouldn't be surprised if D-Spot ended up on a TV show like Eating vs. They believe in serving fresh food rather than letting it sit for hours, ensuring customers don't mind waiting for their order. The flavors they spin are impressive. Very imaginative combos which turn out to be wing heaven. I plan on going back often so I can try them all! Love the new location with more seating, better kitchen exhaust!, and ample parking.

Pros: wings were cooked well and they have a wide range of sauces to choose from. Cons: service was slow (even though there was only one other table here when we arrived), our order was delivered incorrectly and we had to talk to them twice to get it corrected. We ordered sides of fries and onion rings. The fries were overly salted to the point of not being eatable, and were like warm at best. Drinks were expensive and two of the 6 were needing to be replaced. For the price, we expected higher quality food and service. The wait staff were a little off putting as well too much attitude.
