Restaurant Tino's Oasis - Manzanillas

Pasamos un día en Yelapa en un tour en barco, no estoy seguro si estuvimos en este restaurante o en Domingos, pero pude probar las mejores margaritas de mi vida y la comida. Además, conocimos al mesero más lindo de México, creo que se llama Miguel, no pude preguntarle pero mi hermana sí. ¡Salúdenlo si lo ven por ahí!

Las esposas caminaron por la playa y mi amigo y yo nos sentamos en Tino's y tomamos unas margaritas excelentes. Tuvimos un rato agradable de conversación. Cuando nuestras esposas regresaron, disfrutamos de un delicioso guacamole y chips. El hombre de las iguanas fue genial y las esposas se tomaron fotos por cinco dólares. Si no quieres las fotos, solo di no gracias. Fue excelente.

La comida está bien, pero ten cuidado ya que estás en un restaurante de playa mexicano en medio de la nada. Aunque nos dijeron que se aceptaba VISA, no mencionaron la sobrecarga de 50 pesos en el cargo de 330 pesos.

It seems that each of the water taxi's to Yelapa has a deal with a different beachfront restaurant . We went with the water taxi co-op which was fine and the price seemed fair and set ahead of time. We reserved our tickets for 5 ppl the day before which proved to be a good idea since it was busy. They literally deliver you to the waiters in front of Tino's as they pull the water taxi up into the sand in Yelapa. It didn't occur to me until later that they now have a dock (where they picked us up) and they could have easily dropped us there. The waiters were friendly but aggressive, suggesting you set yourself up in beach chairs and start with a drink. We decided to go with the flow. Enjoyed the chairs, ordered food (which was pretty good) even rented their horses for $20 each for a ride up to the almost dry waterfall. It first felt strange when we asked for our check and the waiter tried to delay, stating that we still had time and didn't need it so soon. After asking 2 more times we finally got a bill that didn't add up. There were many papers stapled together and when we questioned he said it included all of the pages and the tip (which was not written anywhere and would have amounted to a 50% tip). My husband added it up with the waiter, giving him an opportunity to clarify. When it was clear that the bill was incorrect the waiter just said "ok" I'll change it. My husband still added a 20% tip. We spent a lot of money there; Rented horses and really went along with the experience. Unfortunately, what appeared to be a premeditated overcharge made the whole experience feel like a scam. I hope they read this and adjust their practice.Btw- don't miss the "pie ladies" on the beach!!! The cheese pie is the most famous- not too sweet and delicious! We also tried chocolate coconut and lemon meringue. 60 pesos a slice and worth it.

I would advise you to avoid this restaurant. As soon as you step off the taxi boat, you will be approached by an aggressive waiter. Being honest with I did not do my homework so at that time any restaurant seem like a good option.Unfortunately, once we sat down it took a while to get service. The food was mediocre to terrible and the drinks crappy. The service was good, the waiter while seem tired and annoyed was very professional and treat us with courtesy. I did not like Yelapa in general and I would recommend you to skip it, there are nicer places to visit in Puerto Vallarta, so do yourself a favor and don't waste your time in this place just not worth it.
