Sahara Cafe - Manitou Springs

Food here is really good. I brought a friend visiting from out of town because I love this place and always bring guests.We were there for lunch on Sunday around 1pm on 3/14. The person who greeted us seemed nice, however the server that came to our table was incredibly rude to us from the moment we sat down. It was honestly unreal how unwelcome she made us feel the entire time. The tone, demeanor, the scoff because we asked for a sauce cup to go etc. it was clear she was angry that we stepped foot in the establishment.We left pretty pissed off because of the way we were treated. We kept quiet at the restaurant but this felt like it warranted a review. Might be time to reevaluate your wait staff. Seems like we’re not the first to be treated this way based on other reviews, and I’m willing to bet it’s the exact same person.

The food and menu selections are fantastic! Some of the most delicious and HEALTHY that I've had. The staff are wonderful and friendly. Really good people! And the atmosphere is clean and comfortable. It is a really nice place to stop for lunch if you're in the area.

Went in and was patiently waiting for a table and the server acted like us being there was ruining her day. She then huffed at me after I thanked her for cleaning the table and said...that wasn't directed towards you but whatever. If she doesn't want a service job I suggest getting a different job. Horrible customer service We didn't even eat. We left. I run restaurants for a living and will be reaching out to higher up owners. Horrible representation of your business.

Authentic cuisine!Don 't be misled by the quaint cafe; they are sure to WOW you with depths of flavor! Kind service with reasonable prices.The Sage tea ....the falafel ...the best I have had personally!Great place!

The restaurant experience was disappointing. We ordered three different types of kababs lamb, chicken, and ground beef. Unfortunately, the chicken kabab was so unpleasant that even my children couldn't eat it. I tried it myself and found it to be of very poor quality. The lamb kabab was decent, but the ground beef kabab was a complete disappointment. It had a excessive amount of spices, making it too spicy, and the taste was terrible. To sum it up, this was the worst kabab experience I have ever had.
