Restaurant bewertenAn old converted house sets a charming atmosphere, and the wide array of options on the menu, featuring both classics and many unique dishes, makes this place a keeper. For brunch, it was hard to decide whether to go the sweet or savory route! Opted for the Redfish Benedict, one of the many takes on Eggs Benedict, cooked perfectly. The potatoes were baked instead of fried (fryer was out of order this morning), and I thoroughly enjoyed this alternative. The staff kept the coffee coming and gave us kind, attentive service. As an out-of-town visitor, I highly recommend LaLou and hope I get to come back and try some of the sweet treats some day!
Great brunch spot! They are always busy, but the food and service are worth the wait. Their Shrimp and Grits are awesome! The Stuffed Brioche French Toast was HUGE! You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Service was great. They leave a pitcher of water at the table, refilled our orange juice and coffee twice without asking, and checked on us throughout our meal. The tables were covered in paper and they have crayons to keep kids, and silly adults like us, busy. We will be back!
I recently discovered this absolute gem of a restaurant a few weeks ago, and I have been back several times since then. I have made it a point to try something new each time, and let me tell you...everything is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! And, of course, great food is very important when choosing a place to eat, but LaLou hits the trifecta, because the atmosphere is very inviting, and the service there is outstanding! Definitely 10/10 and I will be back (probably tomorrow morning)!
The biscuits with the sides of butter and blackberry sauce is awesomely good! The service was outstanding (our server was Liz). The food was fantastic! Will definitely be back very soon!!!! The lemon ricotta pancakes are the bomb as well as the biscuits and gravy with potatoes sausage and scrambled eggs
Great outdoor seating. Delicious food. Service is hit or miss.
