Restaurant bewertenBig up Greggs for killing it with a vday meal, the service an food was lovely but Mark was the man of the night with the best service and very welcoming! When we found out the meal was free was surprising I would have happily paid more than what was expected for everything we got.
Simply perfect! The most wonderful and unique dining experience i've ever had.
Hadn 't been to a Carluccio restaurant for a number of years, and I can 't say that I will be going to one again soon. The place was almost empty, which made it all the more surprising that it took so long for someone to come and take our order. I normally have a couple of glasses of wine at lunch, but the prices for a small glass were ridiculous so I stuck to a glass of beer. Ordered a mixed basket of bread to share, along with a main of a so called crispy chicken burger, with fries. (Not particularly Italian, I know, but there we are). The bread arrived, along with a waitress who announced, cryptically, that The message didn 't arrive in the kitchen, so your mains are ready now shall I bring them out? The response was a no, thank you, as they will get cold. Having finished the bread, we then waited for the main courses, which were presumably being re heated in the kitchen. Average only and served with luke warm shoestring chips cheapest sort of frozen ones. Also had an ice cream and called for the bill. The service throughout had been slapdash and cursory, and so I didn 't leave a tip, which brought forth a curled lip and scowl from the waiter. (Incidentally, the lavatories were out of order one disabled loo in a place this size is not acceptable).
Great seafood linguine Nice place to dine while awaiting train Great staffs as well
Credit to the young lone blonde wolf manning the helm of the majestic italian ship, supported by a diverse smorgasbord of beautiful young compadres floating around the floor elegantly like they were powered by the spirit of the late Antonio carluccio himself. The food transported me to my chilhood in tuscany, a late afternoon at my nonnas eating all the best cuisine that the great nation of Italia has to offer. Ciao.
