Hernandez Mexican - Malakoff

A dependable restaurant, which has good service and cooked my huevos rancheros the way I needed them cooked.

My most favorite chips and salsa ever!!! I love this place and have for the last 20 years! I've been coming here since I was a kid. Now I'm grown and still my favorite Tex mex in town!!! The wait staff are so friendly, they are incredibly quick and always correct with my order.

This place came in clutch. My husband and I were two seconds away from hangry after showings but before going fishing, and he found this place online just in time in the area. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS He had enchiladas and I had Pastor street tacos. They even gave us two bags of chips and salsa!! Everything looked amazing and tasted even better! Not just because we were hungry. The plates were affordable and really gave you a lot for the money. Bummer we can't eat In, but we parked under a shaded spot and a sweet girl took our order and delivered to the truck it was thoroughly an enjoyable experience and just what we needed.

So, I was on my way to my favorite Mexican food place on Cedar Creek Lake. Pulled up and found out they are closed on Mondays. So I head back out of town and remembered seeing a little restaurant I've always wanted to try so I pulled in. Hernandez Mexican Food was a very delightful surprise. I ordered a chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce and a cheese enchilada with chili sauce, refried beans and rice. It was all fantastic!! The service was very good. The salsa and queso was on point and the chips very fresh. I believe I've found my new go to place on the lake. So glad I stumbled upon this little jewel. Definitely recommend and I'll be back.

The best huevos rancheros by far! Loved the chicken enchilada and will definitely try again.
