Restaurant bewertenSo glad we made it to this OG Hainanese Tzi Char restaurant that has been running since the 50s. The uncle and aunt who runs the show are so friendly, grateful and nice. I am deeply humble of her kindness and openness. I've never enjoyed mutton soup, but this one is easy! There is no strong phytol smell that is usually present in a lot of mutton soup. Yours are delicious to consume so pleasant that I can stop from ordering more. The vinegar ribs are well-donated, well-coated and not overwhelming. I feel that all foods are cooked so entertainingly delicious that it does not confuse your tastes. Everything is as it should be without clogging. Their classic hainanesian chicken is served only on weekends and almost all the mosquitoes that came seem to order them. Even if you are not a fan of traditional hainanese chicken, you might try. Not sure if there is another facility that makes it as they do. Can't wait to be back to taste all their other dishes!
I was recommended by a friend to come here for chicken eggs. All we ordered was tasty hainanese chicken and rice balls, hammock soup, pork with black mushroom, mixed vegetables and chinchalok roasted omelette. One of my friends is a hainane and she said the food is authentic and standard. Be there at 12.30 before the chicken rice runs out.
That's the best. Run by a brother and sister Super Seniors, both 70 years old plus. Best Chinese style Mutton soup Imho ever. It's not time for a decent dinner.
So satisfying dinner!! Highly recommended to those who hunt for authentic nice food. My favourite 2 dishes goes to the 1. mutton herbal soup, no mutton smell 2. Hainanese pork chop, it just my childhood mum cooking taste. Love it! Do go early as the wait will be long, min 30min onwards. Have fun!
Authentic hainanese restaurant run by old couple and their family members. We went on weekdays for dinner so not many patrons were there. Very friendly owner and the lady boss is the one who came to take our orders and even suggested their best dishes to try. We had mutton soup rm20, small portion bit we shared with 3pax, pork black fungus, fried mihun (taste like those days mihun), fried rice, kailan, beancurd with tea pot. Bill came to RM112 but we enjoyed the taste as it was totally a different experience for us compared to dining in Klang Valley. The owner uncle was very attentive and he even chatted with our young kids after we finished our meal. Will definitely come again.
