Italia - Maccagno

Had a nice meal in our last night in maccagno recommended our apartment reception restaurante italia so we booked and went through the village not know what to expect! it was pretty busy with locals who was a good sign if good enough. for the locals it would be good enough for us. the decoration was very old world Italian style a little dated, but the eating was excellent, the lamb was especially good and much fish to choose. the personal was super friendly, although tricky, as not spoken English and we fought a bit with the menu. the weelist was extensive, but again all in Italian so a bit of a guessing game! although, maria was super friendly and sorted me with a very beautiful suave. personal and service friendly and good.

Came to see after reviews, stay not far. very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, sitting outside in the hof. starter tasty, tomato soup and 2 ravioli’s. also good, large grilled tuna, lambsuck, mixed grill and pork in cream and green...Apple perfectly boiled. beautiful wine and all reasonable prices. recommended for a good meal

We visited here while on holiday and so pleased we went in the first week as we go again. the owner was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I always try to eat something else and he beat a beautiful risotto with...Fish from the sea caught in butter cooked. Oh, my God, it was amazing. my other half had steak and my daughter cooked cheese risotto with red wine. weinliste is beautiful and excellent value for money. try to visit this place, they will not be disappointed. we'll be back before we go home.

Cannot fault this restaurant and we'll worth a visit. We played safe with prosciutto and mozzarella starter followed by filet steak. My wife ordered medium rare and I very rare and both were cooked to perfection.
