La Limonade de Marinette - Lyon

Well what to say about this place... The local is really nice and cozy, but when you go in you will find the most terrible and pretentious service accompanied by crazy prices not justified by the quality of the food itself. Totally to avoid and to take out of the cheap TripAdvisor denomination

Quirky local café on the main drag in the St George area of the Old Town, just near the St Gorege cathedral. A quieter less touristy area only a few minutes south of St Jean. We were attracted by the almost museum-like displays of retro household goods in their original packaging. The meal was French simplicity put together with care – a perfectly respectable omelette, salad, and a tasty apple/cream dessert plus their home made Limonade. Nothing fancy, just good food, good service, where the locals choose to eat. Highly recommended as a break from the heavier Lyonnais style food on offer in the bouchons up town. They really made us feel welcome and loved the whole retro atmosphere.

A little fresh lemonade with lemon slices, accompanied by a half-baked cookie. Nothing better early in the morning, the best of the best, we'll come back, and not just once!

This place is a must-go for anyone visiting the area. The sweets and coffee are incredible, and the owner Thibault and Ida who works here are so kind and welcoming . The ambiance is so cute my pup and I live nearby and go every day the matcha is so healthy and delicious . The lemonade is like no other I've ever had, sooo good
