Restaurant bewertenHad chipped beef over toast and it was good and plentiful. However th fried potatoes were gross. Not.sure what the were cooked with but they were mushy and greasy and looled unpleasant. Staff were pleasant but I believe I was overcharged for a soda and coffee.
I was really disappointed. My partner brought home the chicken fried steak breakfast for me because I absolutely love chicken fried steak. The steak itself was great, but it was way too salty. We had to take out the excess salt to make it edible, which felt like such a waste. The fried potatoes were more like a soggy mess than anything crispy; I couldn’t eat them at all. I remember having them before when they were perfectly crispy. I appreciate my husband trying to do something special, but the cooking just didn’t turn out as it used to.
During our visit, we had breakfast at The Frying Pan. The chicken-fried steak was the best I've ever had, but if you're sensitive to salt or trying to limit it, you might want to skip the sausage gravy. I thought it was delicious, but I don't mind a little salt. The baked potatoes were excellent, and my English muffin was perfectly crispy, which is quite rare in my experience. My wife enjoyed her bacon, but found the grease a bit greasy. Next time, I’m looking forward to trying the vultures and pork chops.
The food we tasted was quite delicious. However, we couldn't overlook the smell of urine and sewage that permeated the entire restaurant, which made it genuinely difficult to enjoy our meal. The chef is undoubtedly talented; the eggs were perfectly cooked, and the carrots with the swirl were tasty until they started to cool down. I would recommend addressing this issue to enhance the dining experience.
They have it on the menu or they can do it.
