Big Red's Family Restaurant - Lunenburg

Tried Garlic Fingers and Big Red's for the first time, and they were fantastic! I also appreciate that their donair sauce is smooth and not overly thick. Their crust is amazing, so we will definitely be making this our new go-to pizza place. The service was very friendly as well. Oops, I only remembered to take a photo after we had already started eating!

It has been a long time since I last had Big Reds, but I was really craving it. We ordered a square works pizza and a 12-inch garlic fingers. It was amazing and did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious! I will definitely not wait so long to order from there again. It was well worth the 30-minute drive.

I'd never been to the Lunenburg location before, but will come back again. The view was amazing and my only regret is that we didn't get there earlier in the evening.

We ordered the large 16" square pizza with the works. It comes with Onions, Mushrooms, Green Peppers, Wieners, Salami, Pepperoni, Hamburger, Bacon and Cheese but our waitress let us sub the wieners and green peppers for extra cheese and pineapple. Four of us didn't even finish it as it was so loaded up. They even have a place to recharge your phone or camera battery from taking to many photos of Lunenburg. This restaurant used to be the town jail and you can even see the old bars and cells inside. Interesting seeing a metal pole in the middle of the ladies bathroom.

We visited Lunenburg and the Big Red's on August 6, 2017. We were going to stop for a snack but ended up having an early supper instead.My husband had the fish burger (11.99) and I had the 4pc chicken finger and fries (13.99) His was fine, one piece of battered fish in a bun with fries and coleslaw. He enjoyed it. Mine on the other hand was very disappointing. It was expensive to begin with but I just figured that portion size would make up for that, Couldn't have been more wrong. Two out of the four pieces of check weren't even as big as my pinky finger. So disappointing. It tasted good, just wasn't worth what I paid.We saw pizza's, soup and fish and chip go out - they all looked good.The waitress was very friendly and accommodating.Would I return here, no. If I am going to overpay for something I at least want to know that the portion size will make up for it.The place is in need of good scrub down. Inside just felt unclean so we ate on the patio.
