Restaurant bewertenThis is the best Thai restaurant in the city and undoubtedly my favorite Asian dining spot in Lubbock. It’s locally owned and operated, and in my four years of experience, I have never been disappointed—not even once! The food is authentic Thai, always delicious and fresh. Whether you’re just passing through or living here, I highly recommend Choochai.
Environment/Parking: We chose this place because Thai Pepper was very busy. From the outside, it looks like a little hole in the wall, and there's not much parking available. Inside, the ventilation is poor, so expect your clothes to smell of oil when you leave.
Very long waiting times (we waited almost 1 hour for our food and his was to go) and some customers were prioritized about others. unless they're a regular who knows the people who work here, expect a bad customer service. the restaurant also smells constantly for oil. the eating is subpar. the fried rice is dry and the hawn seems to be a day old hawn which was then placed in the dish. the cost wasn't eating or waiting worth it. for reference was eating $11 for only roasted rice. it would be better to go to the Thai-Pepper and wait there for good food instead of on this place.
The food is always amazing and spicy! I tried the paid Thai, bahmee, volcanic soup, and larbna, and they were all delicious!
The lady at the front is so nice and gods is great best service I had in awhile friendly face worth a trip just for the service
