Restaurant bewertenAbsolute gem of a place. As a Scotsman, I found this a most welcoming place. Nice choice of beers and food
Good appetizers. Like the coconut shrimp. Healthy spinach and artichoke dip with vegetables.
I go to Hope and Anchor because my grandson likes it. I dont dislike it, but not my first choice.
We stopped for dinner. The decor is reminiscent of what English style pubs might be like. Large selection of beers and other cocktails. We tried a few things on the menu. Our entrees both arrived barely warm. The Shepard 's pie would have been much better if it was actually hot. Same with baked cod and mashed potatoes, which were also cool and bland. We had soup and a dinner salad and those were pretty good. I feel like there is microwaving or another form of reheating involved in the cooking here because we ordered a dessert that was a reheated brownie type cake with ice cream. The loo was quite dark and didn 't have TP in the stall, so I had to go searching in other stalls... which was not a surprising end to the visit. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The bill was about 65-70.00 with no drinks for 2.
Beers were $8. Mashed potatoes were cold with baked fish. Not a google experience
