Restaurant bewertenBreakfast is the best! Gotta try one of the breakfast scrambles, is actually really good with the restaurant's own bbq sauce they always have on the table. Sounds crazy, but it's our go to breakfast on Saturdays. Great variety of dinner specials throughout the week, always great place to come for hearty home cooked meal. Staff is always friendly and welcoming! Pro tip, check their Facebook page for what the day's special is or stop in and get a paper calendar of all the specials for the month.
Try it out. Not unusual, but good natural home cooked food. I had the fried fish with Mac cheese and baked beans and one side of green beans. These beans were so delicious, slowly boiled with onions, garlic and a little pork (I think) anyway I didn't share my portion. Ha! My friend had steak, tender and cooked to order (rare)! The people who lead this place are very nice. Pumpkin cake was great! Also a nice selection of beer, including some imports and local microbrows.
My friends and I have eaten several times at Double J . . always clean, always friendly, always great service, and the food is very good. Dinner is generous, sandwiches are always served as you ordered, and the prices are reasonable. Several restaurants have occupied this room, but these are the best hands down! We hope it will stay for a long time. . . <br/ <br/ The empty nests of the Church of the Heart
Woah! Don't surprise this little remnant!. This little mom and pop restaurant has everything. The prices are fair and the food is delicious. between my family, I think we've tried the whole menu and no scrap of food left. My 13-year-old son even spent some of his own money to bring a bowl of potato soup home for him, he liked it so much. (That says a lot)
The ribs are without a doubt the best we've ever had. We ordered enough to feed 35 people and the ribs were the hit of the party. Everyone raved about them. We love Double J and the meatloaf is great too!!
