Coals Artisan - Louisville

Had heard Coals had really good pizza so we went and ordered pizzas to take home. While we waited we had a drink at the bar. Our bartender, Zoey was very personable and friendly. She made the best most flavorful drinks for us. She had such a great personality and was very attentive to our needs. The waiter, Xavier was so polite and kind and we really enjoyed his attentiveness to making sure all our needs were met with a friendly smile. Both Zoey and Xavier made our experience so fulfilling that we went back a few days later and we had another very positive experience thanks to our waitress Caroline. She was so friendly and we received our food in a timely manner. It was so hot and delicious. All the food we purchased from our two trips was very delicious and I'm so glad we went to try it out. Coal's is going to be a regular go to place for the food, drink, efficient bartender, and wait staff and the atmosphere was spot on. I'd definitely recommend going there and if you are lucky enough to get Xavier, Caroline, or Zoey tell them Momma T recommended you!

I rated Coals previously about throwing our left over pizza away. Well Scott went above and beyond to make it right. We got a complimentary pizza and our neice ordered one and it came with the wrong toppings. They right away got a new one cooking and gave her the one that was not correct or they were going to toss it. It is definitely a five star restaurant. Oh and we have had the mushrooms for appetizers. Delish. Next will be the wings.

My husband and I were looking for a new place to have lunch and Coals was definitely a great choice!! This place was clean and very friendly. They have large TV’s to watch while u eat. Would be a great place to watch a UFC fight night while eating a pizza….just putting that out there!! The service was very good too. Our server didn’t come to our table every five minutes but instead gave us our space and he was pretty amazing!! We started with a salad and decided to share it. It was fresh and just the right amount for two not to mention it was tasty too!! Then we ordered a Middletown pizza and it was very, very good!! I had never had a pizza baked in this type of oven before and the crust was so amazing. Not like the pizza places you go to sometimes and it seems like most of the pizza is the crust. This pizza was light, crispy in the right places and tasted great. Also very affordable. Definitely a place we will be revisiting in the near future!!

Normally sit at the bar. The pizza and service have always been good there. They have good cocktails and a wide selection of draught and bottled beer. They do close a bit early for my taste, but it's worth it to get there early.

Great artisan pizza, loved the bread sticks. Great service. Definitely my new favorite pizza place!
