Restaurant bewertenA really solid vegan burger option in Chinatown just north of DTLA. It is a walkable order at the window type of space with seating outdoors. This was my first time today, so I chose her house Cheeseburger and also the Brainbrander, who is her spicy burger. Her homemade patty tastes closer to a afterlife meat patty against an impossibility, so everything really comes to preference. The cheese and the rabbit were very good and between the two burgers I would say that the brainer was my favorite due to the spiciness level and the provolone. The crispy chips also gave him a nice crunch in every bite. Monty?s is still king for vegan burgers in Los Angeles, but this is still really good option. It has almost a tempura type of coating on the Patty, so some that are impossibility of Patty fans like me.
Ok let me preface by saying I am not vegan and I think the concept of creating vegan food made to pass as other food, in this case burgers, is hilarious and is difficult to please my palate. With that being said... OH MY GOD. This place was delicious. I got the double and my friend got the garlic melt. So much flavor and it didn't taste fake. Definitely didn't taste like beef but that's ok because it was well seasoned and the cheese tasted like cheese. I definitely will come back and try all the other stuff.
THE BEST meatless Cheeseburger that I?ve ever had. I got the gluten-free bun, and the whole Cheeseburger was GREAT. There is a lot of interesting Chinese architecture to look at and interesting things to look at while walking around.
You guys!!!! This place is DAMN good! THE Best Vegan Patty I have EVER had! Homemade fresh everyday and exceptional texture! A Must Visit if you are vegan, or just want comfort food without the guilt!
I always enjoy Burgerlords but it seems like they've gotten even better over the years. I had the Braindead burger, made with crispy/chruncy jalapeño chips. Delish! Their handmade patties are a refreshing change from the processed name brand patties currently on the market. The tofu nuggets were yummy, though I wish they were just a little more firm. The combination of their sunburn sauce and bbq sauce was a nice flavor pairing for the nuggets. I had a chocolate shake (gluten free for those interested) and added oreos, yum!
