Overall, the meal here was lovely. The seafood was fresh (local from Apollo Bay) and decent portions. The desert as amazing! Friendly staff. Worth a visit...

I really wanted to love this place. I have wanted to dine here for a long time. Unfortunately I was underwhelmed. The food is quite expensive and just ok. It is such a beautiful position and lovely wait staff so definitely potential.

Night ruined by over cooked sea food and kitchen staff shouting at wait staff and the fly were so bad I could not wait to leave. I would not be going back

Having dined at this place for many years and enjoyed the view and decent food and service in the past I was very disappointed during my last visit. Getting close to an hour after ordering our meals we started to worry when other diners around us who had arrived after us were getting their meals. The wait staff gave us some ridiculous excuse about the type of fish we ordered taking a long time to cook. They had obviously forgotten our order but didn’t want to admit it. We got our average meals eventually but one of the meals was another 10 minutes later and this was not even the fish that was meant to be the issue. There are plenty of other places to eat in Lorne so I will give other establishments my business in future.

A very average meal topped off by being called a mother trucker by the owner. We loved this place the first time we went. However the second time, the fish main was very disappointing. A Spicy African fish, turned out to be a confused curry sauce, under-cooked fish and a very wilted salad. All for $40+. When I paid the bill, I commented that I was disappointed with the fish. To which the owner told me that ‘he didn’t get to make the sauce today and it all cost the same for him. When I told him we wouldn’t come back as a result, he called me a mother trucker under his breath.
