Communitea - Long Island City

This café serves and sells Irving Farms coffee, which happens to be one of my favorite roasters based in Millerton, NY. I tried the 71 House Blend, a medium roast that is both smooth and wonderfully aromatic. A 12 oz. bag of whole beans costs around $16, and if you don’t have a grinder at home, the café is happy to grind it for you. I recommend calling ahead to check if they have the blend you want, as I was fortunate to snag the last bag of the House Blend on a late Sunday afternoon. While I didn’t stay for a meal or a drink, the café has a charming atmosphere, and I look forward to returning for a small bite and a latte on my next visit.

The "Green Bob" breakfast sandwich was fantastic! It was definitely a hearty and satisfying meal. Tasty for sure, but not ideal if you're looking for something light. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. The shop was also very clean and well-organized.

Great breakfast place! We ordered the breakfast croissant and the avocado halloumi toast, and both were excellent. The matcha rose latte was delicious—I definitely recommend giving it a try. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. However, I was quite disappointed with their espresso.

This fantastic neighborhood gem is so much more than just a coffee shop. They offer a wonderful range of breakfast and lunch options, along with fresh pastries and plenty of vegan choices for both meals. The tea selection is extensive, and the atmosphere is inviting. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. I believe we’ve just discovered our new favorite local spot!

LOVE the tuna melt and tomato soups. Also love that they're active and supportive of the local community. Great, casual place to grab lunch or coffee.
