The Wave - London

Occupying such large, luxurious, & prestigious spaces on the beautiful UWO campus one might think one was in for a good dining experience. Wrong! Food qual is uniformly bad @ both The Spoke (downstairs) & The Wave (up). To make matters worse, staff are beetchy, & management is downright hyper-aggressive & moronic. Have a beer or a coffee, then search out better cuisine (probably off-campus)!

This is one of the few waiter service restaurants on campus of western university. I know what I want: buffalo chicken wrap! Never disappointed, but actually pub food. Friendly staff. Good for beers in the afternoon but mostly lightweight lagers. Not bad!

I ate lunch here for the first time after five years of attending UWO. I had very low expectations given the fact that it was a campus restaurant. It turned out to be pretty darn good. I had a Tuscan salad with a good balance of chicken, cranberries, pumpkin seeds, and goat cheese. The service was a bit slow, but I was with a big group so they won't lose to many point there from me. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at The Wave, but if you find yourself on campus it is a decent spot in a crunch.

This is one of the worst restaurant I have ever been, I believe that they are just taking advantage of being the only restaurant on campus...:( I used to come here with friends, yes it was not too bad but then it turned out this year most of my friends have teaching during lunch, which means I sat at the bar on my own... and here is my experience with that EVEN IF EACH TIME I PAYED EXACTLY THE SAME TIP AS OTHER GUESTS!!! ::1) the waiter at the door simply hands me my utensils, namely do not even walk me to my table!!! this is so embarrassing! I think they could simply have menus or utensils at the bar...2) the waiter/waitress taking the order ; bringing my food ; bringing the check are all different!!! many times I literally had to wave my hand to someone to pay the bill!!! when I tip I do not even know whose service I am evaluating...3) the waiter/waitress does not even come to table to ask how food tastes!!! the last time my burger was almost burnt (literally all black) and the soup was cold!!!so my suggestion to this restaurant is simply the following:EITHER MENTION ON YOUR WEBSITE OR AT THE DOOR THAT THE PEOPLE SITTING AT THE BAR CAN SIMPLY MAY NOT PAY ANY TIP AT ALL AS THEY ARE APPARENTLY NOT GETTING THE SAME SERVICE AS OTHER GUESTS EVEN IF THEY PAY THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY! OR SIMPLY TELL YOUR WAITER/WAITRESS TO BEHAVE BECAUSE PEOPLE SIMPLY DESERVE TO GET THE SERVICE THEY PAY FOR!!!

I was taken by friends to this place after some unimpressive eateries on campus. I would say this one was the best. Its quality was superb and the atmosphere was really nice with good view of campus. I was impressed that it is an on campus restaurant
