Patara Fine Thai Soho - London

The good thing to be young is that the dings begin. there is so much more to come. when I first started cooking, in desperate food needs (I was a little man at the time) I was a pretty ineffective cook. to the happiness my new British roommate was in possession of a particularly stone personality and was happy to eat everything I produced. if I burned that huh and said it was supposed to produce a hauch of carbon, he would be great if he believed me. when I accidentally added a little too much chili to my court and irrigated his eyes when he ate, he recommended my authenticity. when I fired to the chair and it looked like a bomb had gone away in our kitchen, and he helped kindly to mop/fix everything, he said it would be great to get some fresh air and go to the local farewell.

Surreal food, amazing service, a wonderful experience....Mix beef cheek panang or chor muang with Patara Passion cocktail and you have a rainbow in your mouth.

Patara, located in the heart of Soho, serves delicious Thai food. Service is brisk and professional. Try the beef with broccoli in oyster sauce topped with burnt garlic....its superb !

The food is very good, however the service is slow and the flavours subdued. It certainly caters to a milder palette. Reasonably priced for a fancy night out. The set menu is worthwhile.

A high end Thai restaurant. Make prior reservations if going after 6pm over a weekend. Staff is courteous. Ambience is nice and romantic. We tried their buffet, which included lot many Thai delicacies and believe me each of them were amazing!! I would recommend this place for at least one time visit if you are a Thai food lover :
