Restaurant bewertenDecent Food For Area. Now we all know that Soho and Covent Garden can be very much hit or miss when it comes to good honestly priced food and acceptable service I was in a rush before the start of a show and stumbled across this place mainly due to the poor choice in the vicinity. Melanie came up as a bit of a pleasant surprise, apart from the weird name for an Italian restaurant and the cheesy , tacky decor it does provide good tasty food with good service without all of the pretence of the area If your in the area and looking for some honest wholesome food you could do a lot worse than Melanie's just as long as you can see past the chintz Well done Melanie!
Visited melanie for dinner with my friend when they look for a restaurant in soho. the specialities of the chef presented at the door have received our attention and we decided to go. for the main dish we had the salmon and spinat linguini the garnelen and courgette linguini in weinsoße. the courts arrived very fast. bad in taste, the garnels were only heated by frozen without taste. the dishes looked like pasta in a plate with ingredients that were added last minute. bad for an Italian restaurant and even more for cooking specialities. the house wine was okay. for dessert we had the cheesecake that is homemade, but not the best, too sweet, not the acid sweet...more
This is the perfect stop for a pre- or post- airport snack. Just look for the big donut on the roof. I like the maple-glazed cake donut with a vanilla iced coffee. Rain or shine, there is usually a line. Unfortunately, they have no indoor area or seating and no restroom, so you’ll be standing outside.
My friends and I visited Melanie Restaurant for a meal before going to the theatre. It was the perfect choice for a pre-theatre dinner. The staff was efficient and friendly, the food was tasty, the portions were generous, and the prices were affordable.
Excellent food good service close to the theatre great as always been there a few times
