Restaurant bewerten“Are you going to be good today?” Been here a few times, food is nice, the service is bizarrely bad though. Korto were unable to accommodate a booking but didn’t let us know until we had arrived at the restaurant (although they did offer to seat us in front of their fire exit). I had clearly communicated on the booking we were 6 people, each with a pram. The next time I went to Korto, the waiter asked me “are you going to be good today?” What an awful and gross way to speak to a customer. The eggs also weren’t cooked. Shame no one came over to the table to ask if everything was okay whilst we were eating. When I told the waiter about the eggs, he said I should I have said something. I replied that they should have been properly cooked. I was offered more eggs but we’d all finished eating and after the strange “are you going to be good today” question I just wanted to get out of there. Shame they didn’t comp the eggs dish.
We went for the last of (many) visits last Sunday and brought with a couple of friends over from Italy. Although not a surprise for us, we keep being impressed by the consistency of the the food quality, service and value for money...and our friends loved it! It is great to have this little gem just down the road, as it has never let us down once for either breakfast or lunch. We are looking forward to try out their new dinner menu as soon as we are back from our summer holidays.
Visited Korto for the first time today and we were not disappointed! Turned up with my wife and baby for lunch without a booking and despite it being very busy, T made a real effort to get us quickly seated inside. The food was delicious so fresh and vibrant! Service was outstanding all the staff were very friendly and polite, especially T! I will be returning again soon and next time make sure I book!!
My wife and I popped in here on a rainy Saturday morning to check out the brunch menu. From the moment you arrive, the vibe of Korto will leave you feeling relaxed. The cozy décor and friendly staff were extremely accomodating to our needs (having a pram and a 3-month old requires a bit of extra space). Tee, one of the team at front of house, was fantastic, ensuring that we had everything we needed for our meals and drinks. And let's talk about the food: just marvellous. We both had the Korto breakfast and every item was well cooked and seasoned. The coffee was excellent (so much so, that we ordered another each to take away). Before we knew it, the quiet surrounds became quite busy, as locals dropped in to fuel up. In spite of the fact that Tee seemed to be the only one delivering meals and drinks to tables, there was no wait for us, and everything arrived in good time. Impeccable and friendly service every step of the way. I'd highly recommend Korto, especially if you are in the Muswell Hill area. It's a quick walk from the Broadway, and the service and quality will leave you wanting to book in repeat visits.
We've become regulars here already food is delicious and staff always really friendly and helpful especially this weekend when my daughter left her bag under the table and Paul was really responsive over email to confirm they had it. A huge relief and incredibly grateful! This is now our recommended local and looking forward to trying out the evening menu soon! Thanks again. Louise
